We have patrons that come Island Casual, some that wear Semi-formal / Business attire, & those who enjoy Black Tie. Dress in the way you enjoy a big band the most! When are your dances? Our schedule is on this website. Generally we have dances open to the public several times a year. Often, a church group,civic club or the Jekyll Island Authority will sponsor public dances. Can our party reserve tables? Admission is at the door and group seating can be arranged by calling 912-635-3636. Held tables are released to general seating at 8:15. Among dance patrons, are there plenty of partners for singles? You bet. As the old phrase goes... "It's both stag or drag!" Cash Bar? Yes. And by the way, Jekyll Island is a Georgia State Park, so "brown-bagging" is a serious no-no. |

What kind of private affair does the Jekyll Island Big Band play? We have entertained over the years at wedding receptions, conventions & banquets, grand celebrations and private parties. We have performed on the verandas of the Plum Orchard Plantation on Cumberland Island and The Jekyll Club Hotel and in the ballrooms of the Jekyll Island Convention Center, The Sea Island Cloister, The King And Prince and the new Savannah Harbor Westin. We have played in gazebos, under tents, under the stars, in supper clubs, Legion Halls and track fields. Might the JIBB be too big for my event? Not as often as you may think, but sometimes that is the case. If a 15 piece band is larger than allows for your venue or budget, we can recommend combos & bands that would best suit your needs in the Jekyll Island area. Well, alot of people don't think we should get paid anything for sitting around playing a bunch of horns and stuff, making such fun and merriment! BUT... Seriously, the cost of the JIBB has a number of variables. Considered in the fee are the time & date (even the day of the week & time of day), location & ergonomics of the venue, size of room & number of guests (determines our equipment needs), length of affair & number / length of music sets, formal or casual attire and more. A baseline price for the Jekyll Island Big Band for 3 hours in the Jekyll / Golden Isles vicinity is $1750. That can fluctuate considerably up or down according to variables.
